There are so many mainstream award shows. All of them in their own right, cater to the empowerment of prominent leaders and artists. One day I looked around my community. I saw living legends who invested years, time, and ministry with nothing to show for it. I realized something had to be done. God gave me a vision! An awards ceremony just as prestigious as the stellars. Giving back to the community as well as empowering those whom never even received a simple pat on the back.

On this glorious night we pay homage and honor to our leaders, musicians, singers, and entrepreneurs. Our aim is to affirm and encourage the unappreciated, overlooked, and unaccounted! By shedding light to their gifts, we remind them; You are not forgotten. Proverbs 3:27 Withold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. We present these awards not out of formality, but with the intent to motivate, inspire, and promote the gifts that are already operating.

The Mississippi Merit Awards was an amazing experience of joy, laughter, and talent in a Christian environment! It shows appreciation to people, locally, who play a major part in the music ministry in various areas! I enjoyed myself last year and I’m excited about the next Mississippi Merit Awards event to come!

The Mississippi Merit Awards was an amazing experience. It was good to see the vision of one my brothers Josh unfold and manifest right before my eyes. To see the support and the great talent of Mississippi, Tennessee, Arkansas and other surrounding areas come together and have a great time in the Lord from the hosts, singers, band, and audience it was altogether a awesome experience. It was honor to work to be apart and I’m looking forward to an even better year this year!!!!

“The Mississippi Merit Awards was a wonderful experience. The award show recognized gifts and talents that may have otherwise went unknown. It is important that we support events such as this, as it Strengthens those who serve the body of Christ
